In case you are involved in an accident in Mexico, the first thing we need to have is your date of birth and your social security number to give to the receiving hospital in the United States, otherwise your transport could be delayed if we don't have that information. Q. CAN I GIVE YOU MY MEDICAL POLICY NUMBER INSTEAD? A. Yes, if you don't want to give your ss#, we at least need your policy number in order to arrange for your transport to a U.S. hospital. Q. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED YOUR HELP IN MEXICO? A. You need to go to the closest medical facility and have someone give us a call to let us know where you are. We need to have the name of the city or town, telephone number of the medical facility or a phone contact to call and find out your medical condition and arrange for your safe transport to the United States. Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM AT SEA? A. We need your coordinates, name and type of boat or ship, type of injuries. we will then contact the U.S. and Mexican Coast Guard to give them your position. From the moment we receive your call, we will keep in contact with the Coast Guard to find out if they are going to take you to the nearest port, so that we may have an ambulance available, or if the U.S. Coast Guard is going to transport you back into the U.S. we need to notify your relatives of your whereabouts Q. HOW ABOUT IF I AM INJURED IN THE DESERT OR MOUNTAINS? A. We need to know your position so that we may send a search and rescue team to find you and bring you back safely. Q. HOW ABOUT IF AM SEVERELY INJURED IN THE MOUNTAINS OR DESERT? A. We need to know the type of injuries you may have and if someone is with you, don't move your position so that we may we may send a helicopter to find you, be prepared and visible to assist you. Q.
